Designed and produced by plonc., the Sunset Tile is not a reproduction of stone, but an embodiment of light across matter. Inspired by a year of sunsets over Avoca Beach, its surface captures the shifting glow of gold as it dissolves into sand and stone. The fractured veining reflects the sun’s passage across the horizon, not only here, but as a universal rhythm observed globally.

Its textured porcelain body carries these shifting tones into the home with authority and permanence. Soft grey-beige fields are interrupted by delicate gold markings, each one a trace of time, light, and geological memory pressed into the surface.

To live with this tile is to inhabit the atmosphere of dusk.
