Sono Oro by plonc.

Sono Oro is a meditation on fire, bark, and renewal. Designed and produced by plonc., this tile translates the haunting textures of Australian gum trees after bushfire into a multi-layered relief surface. Its fractured lines and fissures recall charred bark, while earth tones are tempered by ashen greys and deep blacks, the palette of resilience drawn from a landscape scarred yet reborn.

The surface is not reproduction but transcription: resinous glints and fissured contours evoke the living tree, holding the paradox of destruction and renewal within a single form. Beige and cream passages suggest the unburnt body of trunks, while blackened fractures embody the memory of fire.

Sono Oro belongs to GeoLux, where tiles are not backdrops but authored records of place and process. It invites us to think of surfaces as archives of time, where resilience and beauty are inseparable.

This is not a neutral finish. It is a surface that endures - carrying the memory of fire, and the strength to remain.
