Sono Oro by plonc.

Authored from Fire, Bark, and Endurance

Sono Oro is a meditation on fire and bark.

Designed and produced by plonc., this surface translates the scarred textures of Australian gum trees after bushfire into layered porcelain relief. Fractured lines and fissures recall charred bark, while earth-toned fields are tempered by ashen greys and deep blacks - a palette drawn from landscapes altered by heat yet grounded in permanence.

This surface is not reproduction but transcription.

Resinous glints and fissured contours evoke the living tree, holding within a single form the tension between destruction and persistence. Beige and cream passages suggest the protected inner body of the trunk, while blackened fractures carry the imprint of fire pressed into matter.

Sono Oro belongs to GeoLux, where tiles are not backdrops but authored records of place and process. Here, surface operates as archive - holding memory, pressure, and transformation within its relief.

This is not a neutral finish.

It is a surface that endures, carrying the trace of fire and the gravity of what remains.
